Louise Hart’s initial foray in the music industry was at CBS Records, now known as Sony Music Entertainment Ltd. She took the first job offered to her, an assistant in the Legal and Business Affairs department, just so that she could be working with music. However, she swiftly moved into the A&R department and was fortunate to work alongside the great A&R legend Muff Winwood.
After a stint at Polygram International, she landed a job at RCA Records, part of BMG group, as a Marketing Assistant. It was here that she was given her first act to market, a newly signed, young boy band called Take That. Following this success, Louise was tasked with marketing Gary Barlow’s solo career and one of her idols, David Bowie.
Having steered marketing campaigns for some of RCA’s biggest artists, Louise was offered a position at Mercury records, part of the Universal Music empire. Here she was to head up some of their priority projects including Shania Twain who sold over three million albums under her jurisdiction.
After a few years she was lured back to BMG to head up the Pop and R’n’B division working with acts including Pink and John Legend.
Following this, Louise was appointed Marketing Director at RCA where she first worked with Simon Cowell on Will Young’s career and lead hugely successful campaigns for Dido. In 2003, Dido and Young’s albums were the No.1 and No.2 biggest selling albums of the year selling 2.1 million and 1.5 million respectively.
During the merger with Sony Records and BMG Louise became the VP Marketing, RCA and oversaw the marketing campaigns for Pink, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Maroon 5, Alicia Keys, Justin Timberlake and The Script amongst others.
Louise was later offered a job with Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment as a senior marketing consultant steering campaigns for X Factor winners including Alexandra Burke. At the same time, Britain’s Got Talent’s Susan Boyle needed a worldwide campaign for her album, which went on to become to the biggest selling worldwide in 2009 and later, the biggest selling album of all time.
In 2011, Louise left Syco to co-found Miracle Management who currently look after four new artists: Zak Abel signed to Atlantic Records, Cinnamon Girl signed to both Columbia US and RCA UK, George Barnett who is currently setting Youtube alight and Jay Brown who is being supported by BBC Introducing and playing Glastonbury this Summer.
